Why we built our own reporting platform.
Your inspection report is delivered on software we built and own ourselves — not rented from a vendor. That's unusual in this industry, and it's deliberate.
Why we built our own reporting platform
Built around the inspection, not around software
Most home inspectors deliver reports through third-party platforms. We did too, for years. But rented software is designed for thousands of inspection companies at once — not for how any one of them actually works. So we spent a year building our own, shaped around how we inspect, photograph, write, and communicate:
Reports open fast — no third-party portal between you and your results. Every finding is fully visible on the page — no clicking items open one at a time. It reads cleanly on any device, in light or dark mode. A repair-focused summary view is one click away for agents building a repair request. And questions go to your inspector — not a software company's help desk.
Our rule: your report page carries your report
An inspection report documents one of the largest purchases of most people's lives. The page it lives on carries your report, your documents, and a direct line to your inspector. No advertisements. No upsells. No third-party offers.
That's not a feature setting — it's a design decision we own. Because the platform is ours, what appears next to your inspection results is our editorial call and no one else's. There is no outside business model with a seat at that table.
Why now?
In recent years, inspection-software vendors have started monetizing the home buyers who pass through their client portals. In 2026, Spectora — the industry's most widely used reporting platform — began placing third-party insurance, home-warranty, and home-security offers beside inspection reports, originally with no way for inspectors to opt out. We had already been building toward a platform of our own; that change settled the timing.
What this means for you
If you're a client: nothing to learn. You'll receive a link, your report opens right away, and everything about your inspection lives in one place.
If you're an agent: scheduling, delivery, and communication all work the way they always have — faster, and easier to read. Reports from our earlier platform era remain archived and available on request.
See it for yourself.
The easiest way to judge a report is to read one — or get on the schedule and receive your own.
